About the artisan
Cida Lima began her art by molding clay as a child to help support her family. In 2005, her trajectory took a turn when she met the visual artist Ana Veloso, who coordinated a project to revitalize the handicraft production of the municipality of Belo Jardim (Pernambuco, Brazil).
Through the project, Cida started creating unique pieces alongside her 11-year-old son, Jailson, under the guidance of Ana Veloso. It was during this time that they created the famous ceramic heads, which became a great success!
